This will be my last post prior to Autodesk University and soon it will look like the photo below on my deck. I do like the winter time so I welcome the change of the season, the holidays, and the family time that goes along with it. I just finished my papers for Autodesk University lots of weekends and late nights and wanted to share one last post prior to the conference. Hatch patterns are stored in a file named ACAD.

It will be added to the bottom of your list. Simply select the Move Up button and move to the top of the Support Search File Path just in case you have other custom files that are loaded ahead of this file. Hit OK and Apply and get out of the dialog box. Select T for settings once again to bring up our dialog box.

Move out to your Custom tab and your custom hatch patterns will be displayed in a list as shown. You can now have your favorite hatches in a separate folder for quick access. If you are wondering about the Ribbon, they are added there as well. Under the pattern name select User defined as shown and your patterns will be added to the list of hatches available in your current drawing setting.

Thank you! You can put the new. What i did. I went into my support directory. I made a folder named "pats" then i copied all of the custom hatch patterns into that folder. Then in autocad run the cmd "op" and click on the files tab then go to "working support file search path" then add a file path and find the folder you just made and your hatch patterns will be in autocad under the custom tab. Thats one way to keep all of your custom patterns seperate from the default ones.

Another option is to copy the code into your acad. I usally put my custom hatch patterns and lisps pretty much any type of files i do in this in my support directory and a good thing to do is make a exact copy of your support directory. This should help. In conjuction with your support location s - ADD a new explorer path directory where additional Hatches can be found.
